Big Wedding in Bukidnon Ramos-Go Nuptials
Just as the whole Christendom celebrated the Resurrection of the Lord on Easter Sunday, March 23, 2008, Steven Benedict “Steve” Ramos, son of business persons, Pacifico C. Ramos and Emma M. Ramos; and Iris Charme “Chai” Go, daughter of Jose Joven Go and Aldine Go, a successful caregiver in the States, finally walked down the aisle at the scenic New Monastery of Transfiguration in Malaybalay, Bukidnon. With all the preparations going through smoothly as planned, the engaged couple exchanged their “I do’s” in front of their parents, witnesses, family and friends. The Wedding Entourage. Witnessing the couple’s vow were the principal sponsors, Mr. Leonilo Go, Mr. Isagani Atil, Mr. Victor Ramos, Mr. Eufracio Araneta, Dr. Plaridel Atil, Mr. Nestor Ramos, Mr. Romeo Garcia, Mr. Elmer Hebia, Sr., Dr. Ismael Naypa, Mrs. Elma Go, Mrs. Emma Atil, Mrs. Fe Ramos, Ms. Ellen Ranario, Mrs. Minda Atil, Ms. Leticia Ramos, Mrs. Carmen Yap (represented by Mrs. Venus Gacasan) Mrs. Mary Lou Hebia and Dr. Mary Ann Joan Naypa.
Helping out the couple with their needs were the Best Man, Christian Ian Barron, Maid of Honor, Czarina Alexandra Go; the Groomsmen, Drazen Kirk Ramos, Kevin Mark Ramos and Victor Emmanuel Ramos, Jr.; the Bridesmaids, Berly Marie Sun, Deborah Christy Go and Czarina Eloise Berou. The Secondary Sponsors include Mr. Anthony M. Ramos and Mrs. Beverly S. Ramos (Candle); Mr. Brian Steve Go and Mrs. Mimmie Monteclaros (Veil); and Mr. Voltaire Marc M. Ramos and Mrs. Jenette L. Ramos (Cord). Completing the members of the bridal party were the kids; Ring Bearer, Anthon Phillip S. Ramos, Bible Bearer, Piolo Domonic Go; Coin Bearer, Varrick Joshua L. Ramos and the Flower Girls, Alyanna Denise Y. Go and Jannika Therese L. Ramos. The Wedding Gown. Edgar Buyan of Chardin created a masterpiece for her. It’s a bustier-type, off-white ball gown with fine-tulle, accented with chantilly lace and beads. He finished it with a bolero which Chai removed in time for the evening’s party showing a more revealing and sexy feel. With its artistry and craftsmanship, Chai definitely was a radiant bride during her day of days. Photo and Video Coverage. The men of Lito Sy Studio took charge in documenting the whole event with their creative hands and meticulous eyes. Audio-visual presentations have been dealt with the previous weeks since the couple had their pre-nuptial photo-shoot at Blue Waters Beach Resort, Island Garden City of Samal. They were shown during the reception. A slide-show and on-site video presentation covered for the highlights and sidelights of the wedding day. Floral Arrangements & Décor. Golden Touch by Noel Tanza took the job in importing fresh cut flowers from abroad and Luzon and incorporated them with lanterns, vases, pots and drapes enhancing the country-flavor of the place since Steven and Chai decided to take the “Oriental Bali” as their main theme. He also decorated the church with fine and dainty combination of roses, calla lilies, gerberas, lisianthuses and lilliums all in white for a very heavenly feel. The bride’s bouquets were a combination of mint green cymbidiums and yellow tulips. The Reception Venue. The couple had decided to utilize the lawn at the back of the Montesclaros’ Road House Café, the Roadhouse Courtyard. It has a rustic ambience with the antique furnishings and ornaments owned by the families’ good friend, Mr. Tirso Montesclaros. A man-made waterfalls provided the highlight of the place. The driveway was used for the cocktail. Afterwhich, everyone was led under the big tent just nearby for the main program with a sumptuous dinner. Catarer: Mrs. Tostsy Duenas, alongside with her husband Noel, owning strings of bars and restaurants (Road House Café) in Davao , Cagayan and Bukidnon provided the food both during the cocktail and dinner. For the cocktail, they served delectable hors de vours coupled with wines and fruit punches. For the dinner proper, it was a mouthwatering array of entrees, side dish and desserts. Hours before the guests arrived for the reception, she quipped, “the guests will surely enjoy the roast beef with mashed potato, baby back ribs with special barbeque sauce, chicken galantine and grilled tuna with spicy sauce”. With her expertise, everyone surely enjoyed the food…burrp! Wedding Cake: One of the highlights of the program was the 5-tiered butter-pound fondant cake with 6 satellite cakes embellished with fresh cut roses, rhinestone, pearls and luster dust finish. It had touches of yellow and green colors, which were the leitmotif of the day. The overall appearance was in shade of ecru, perfectly apt to be the grand wedding cake. Thanks to the creative hands of Bukidnon’s very own Raquel Odulio. The couple had their traditional slicing of the cake with much gusto! Program/Emcee: It was an interplay of traditional and contemporary flavors tying all the speeches, toasts, audio-visual presentations, games, dances and songs together. Food and drinks for cocktail and dinner were aplenty. The couple has tapped Davao ’s most bankable emcee, Donn Gonzales to host the banquet. It was truly entertaining and a happy night not only for the couple but for all the guests as well. With all the ingredients of a happy wedding day, everyone is assured that Steven and Chai have forever to spent together, isn’t it? |
