Sinsuat-Limbona Kalilang

 

 

The pomp and pageantry of a muslim tradition came to life with the wedding of Vice Mayor Datu Lester Seismundo Sinsuat, son of Mayor Datu Ombra Quesada Sinsuat, Al Hadj and the late Bai Hanina Seismundo Sinsuat, Al Hadja to Ateneo Law student, Bai Fatima Ainee Sinsuat Limbona, daughter of Atty. Casan Ali Langco Limbona and DPWH-ARMM Regional Cashier Bai Noraya Ambolodto Sinsuat, Al Hadja last June 21, 2008, Saturday, 10:00 in the morning.  Approximately, 1,500 guests were in attendance at the Davao Convention and Trade Center along F. Torres Street, Davao City and were treated to the sights and sounds and the solemnity of the royal wedding.

The kalilang (muslim wedding) was officiated by Judge Kalimpo and witnessed by Sultan Datu Datukon Untong, Al Hadj, Atty. Datu Datukan Mama Guiani, Al Hadj, Bai Flora Quesada Sinsuat, Al Hadja, Bae Sittie Hedjara Magarang, Al Hadja, Bai Mompong Sumagka Mentang, Al Hadja, Bai Fatima Sinsuat Ampatuan, Al Hadja and Bai Lawanbai Sinsuat Dalidig, Al Hadja.

Assisting the groom in his needs were his best man, Datu Ombra Seismundo Sinsuat and his wife, Bai Suzet Sinsuat, along with the groomsmen escorting their wives, Datu Sajid Sinsuat and Bai Shajida Lu Sinsuat, Datu Rommel Sinsuat and Bai Sharifa Gandila Sinsuat, Datu Mohamad Yaser Sinsuat and Bai Ivy Rose Sinsuat, and Datu Mohammad Khalid Ampatuan Ampatuan and Bai Aniza Sinsuat.  On the other hand, assisting the bride’s needs was her maid of honor, Bai Sittie Rainie Guiling Limbona, along with the bridesmaids, Bai Aljannah Sinsuat Macalandong, Bai Sheila Untong Sinsuat, Bai Jonairah Magarang Limbona, and Bai Aisa Seismundo Sinsuat. The kids came in handy during the rites, Datu Ethan Jamal Sinsuat Limbona Lidasan was the ring bearer; Datu Almanzur Sinsuat Limbona Madale was the unity coin bearer; Datu Alih Jabbar Lucas Sinsuat was the Al-Qur’an bearer and Datu Umbrah Khalid Sinsuat Ampatuan was the contract bearer. The flower girls, Bai Shaykah Alaesha Sinsuat Limbona Sabdula, Bai Shamim Sinsuat Macalandong Limbona, Bai Shariyah Elissey Bandila Sinsuat, Bai Aliyah Angco Ala, Bai Rasshia Cyan Sinsuat Macalandong Limbona, Bai Amyrah Casey Sinsuat Sinsuat, Bai Farisha Lu Sinsuat, and Bai Thalia Zyra Ramos Sinsuat along with the little bride, Bai Camille Lucas Sinsuat added color to the posh celebration.

Pre-empting the grand entrance of the stunning bride after the wedding rite were her siblings alongside with their spouses; Bai Lallie Sinsuat Limbona and Datu Mousilini Sinsuat Lidasan, Bai Rhoainee Sinsuat Limbona and Datu Abdula Madale, Bai Holaissa Sinsuat Limbona and Datu Allan Sabdula, Board Member  Datu Asnawi Sinsuat Limbona and MSU Vice Chancellor Bai Hejira Sinsuat Macalandong Limbona.

Inspiration flowed throughout the event especially when Senator Chiz Escudero expressed his thanksgiving for the opportunity of being part of the muslim tradition and gave some nuggets of wisdom about marriage for the newly-wedded couple to live by.

The Golden Touch Flower Shop staff under the leadership of Noel Tanza, made a truly marvelous work in transforming the venue into a vibrant and majestic palace with colorful ceiling drapes, urns, pillars, arches and fresh cutflowers for a very delightful ambiance. The Golden Touch coordinators added to the organization of the whole event from the preparation to the herculean task of guest management all the way to the proceedings of the wedding rite and reception.

Entertaining the guests were dancers from Cotabato City presenting an array of authentic muslim dances from the foyer act to the lunch time; back-to-back with one of Mindanao’s best cultural groups based in Davao, the Madayaw Cultural Ensemble presenting a Lumads’ Suite. With regards the music entertainment, the string quartet, Amore, provided ambient sounds for the audience’s pleasure.

Apart from the traditional Kanduli, Beverly Sanz-Miraflores recreated a towering mosque complete with kuboh (a muslim structural ceiling) and the crescent moon with the couple’s 7-tiers, 8 feet lighted wedding cake in vibrant colors of fuchsia pink and gold. It was embellished with beads, tiara-formed accents, arches, sugar flowers and rhinestones for a very regal finish.

Joveth Pichon and Sarsy Dizon made the couple especially the bride and the members of the bridal party more radiant with their make-up and hairstyles. Rodel and Benjie of Chardin were the couturiers that the couple has chosen to do their outfits. Styles in You by Egay Ayag did the wardrobe mostly of the men. Documenting the whole affair were the men of Lito Sy Studio. 

Davao’s premiere MC, Don Gonzales, was at his commanding presence during the day adding life to this south’s most celebrated wedding of the year.
